Well the Teen Titans of yesterday – Robin, Wonder-Girl, Starfire, and Cyborg – have graduated to the status of Justice League – Batman, Donna Troy, (still) Starfire and Cyborg. The four have joined with JL stalwarts, Green Lantern, Black Canary, Doctor Light, Atom and JL newcomers Congo Bill, Golden Guardian and Mon-El. And somewhere in this Green Arrow is on some kind of vision quest.
As these heroes are learning to work together, it appears another group of teenagers have gotten their hands on New God technology and are wrecking havoc in the DC Universe.
While this issue was fun, I feel there is still a level of, “Everyone is coming together.” I think we are still two or three issues away from seeing a full out fight between the new League and these new-New Gods.
While there was action in this, it felt like “filler.”
Though I am enjoying writer James Robinson and artist Mark Bagley, I do hope the action picks up in the new issue or two.
But for the time being, the comic is still worth the cover price.
