Anybody who went to college in the early to mid 90s remembers the Barenaked Ladies before they exploded on the popular radio and the MTV scene. The Canadian born rock band were college radio superstars.
When their song "One Week" hit the charts in 1998, most fans of the band were like "Yeah, we know who they are."
To relate this to comic book terms, Artist Jason Dube is what the Barenaked Ladies were in 1996. Dube is just a couple of years away from exploding into mainstream prominence.
In the meantime, Dube, whose work will be featured by Blue Water Productions, regularly produces solo projects and work for hire projects that have generating buzz on the West Coast.
While California is famous for being a little off with the rest of the country, this time, the Golden State has found gold with Dube. And Dube was kind enough to share some of his work with CosmicBookNews as part of our continuing "Declaration of Independents."
And along those lines, consider Dube, Patrick Henry.
